The Role
Our marketing graduate will get a taste of a variety of projects owned by our in-house marketing team. As a member of the department, they’ll work with the wider business and our partners to support a number of exciting projects involving events, social media, community initiatives, communications, website, recruitment marketing and much more!
This opportunity is perfect for someone who has a passion for, and understanding of marketing, but wants to accelerate their learning, gain hands-on experience, and discover where their interests lie within a supportive and people-focused environment.
 
What you’ll be doing:
  • Assist in the planning and execution of regional events, from local meet ups to large conference sponsorships
  • Support in organising various community initiatives
  • Assist with content creation strategies, planning and execution including written, video and audio
  • Liaise with the communications and design teams to create promotional materials for various projects
  • Work with the junior marketing executive to plan, create and execute social media content on our various channels, as well as take responsibility for community management
  • Support the communications team in executing both their internal and external communications strategy
  • Assist with website activity for both our corporate and careers pages
  • Support the production of marketing activity reports 
  • Support with forward planning by taking part in research for various marketing opportunities, in accordance with our strategy, and feeding back to the team
  • Occasionally travel to our regional hubs in Edinburgh and Leeds to take part in content creation and events execution

Requirements
  • Someone with a genuine passion for marketing and a strong understanding of its role in business
  • A keen interest in the tech industry as a whole
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to lead others on projects
  • A self-starter who takes initiative to research various marketing opportunities and bring ideas to the table
  • They’ll enjoy a highly collaborative and dynamic environment, working closely with the rest of the marketing team and the wider business community
 
Ideal but not essential
  • Evidence of their passion for marketing, whether it's an online course certificate or a personal project 
  • Interest and experience in multimedia marketing is a big help, but not required

Recruitment Process:

  • Initial interview with a member of our Emerging Talent team [week commencing 13th February]
  • Final stage is a Discovery Day which consists of a group exercise, marketing and culture add interview
 
Our Discovery Day will be held in person at our Edinburgh office week commencing 20th February.
This position is available for UK based remote working as well as office or hybrid working for those based around Edinburgh or Leeds. Occasional travel will be required to both our Edinburgh and Leeds offices as part of this role.
The closing date for applications is Monday 13th February at 9am GMT. 
The salary for this position is £28,000 per annum.
The start date for this position is 13th March 2023.
