What type of things will I be working on?

On this 2-year graduate scheme starting September 2024, you will be involved in a selection of placement departments that include Encoder Products, CMM and Gauging Products, Machine Tools, Additive Manufacturing Systems and Manufacturing Services. These are planned based on your individual interests.

The skills and knowledge areas we expect our graduates to be exposed to include:

  • LabVIEW application development Windows or embedded targets
  • C# application development
  • PLC programming
  • Test, Measurement and Automation System Design
  • Assembly Systems Development

The type of work will vary between:

  • Prototyping
  • New Product Design/ Development
  • Current Products
  • Process Engineering

You will gain knowledge and experience by being involved in a range of training courses and materials which ensures that when you complete the scheme, you are equipped with the skills and knowledge for your career within Renishaw to really get underway. This will allow you to contribute to, and lead, technical initiatives with confidence while working in successful partnership with other product divisions, as well as ADG, ASG, CPEG teams.

Where will I be working?

This role may include placements at our headquarters - New Mills, near Wotton-under Edge in Gloucestershire, plus our manufacturing sites in Woodchester or our Miskin site in South Wales. 

As Renishaw sites are based in semi-rural locations, applicants must have their own form of transport or be willing to relocate to the local area.

What do I need and how do I apply?

We’re looking for passionate engineers expecting a 2:2 or above (or equivalent) in a related discipline such as Maths, Physics, Mechatronics, Robotics, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Software Engineering etc.

Training and development is excellent so candidates with no experience but a keen interest in engineering will be strongly considered. If you are excited about the role but feel as though you don’t meet all the requirements, we would encourage you still to apply.
