Technology Intern

What I liked

The internship gave me the platform to really train my skills in the technology sector, including coding (using mostly python) and machine learning, more specifically Generative Adversarial Networks and computer vision. It was extremely interesting and rewarding to see the physical implementations of such ideas in a laboratory.

What I wish was different

The experience is very positive and there are not many things that I wish would have been different. If I have to mention one thing, it would be that I wish I have prepared better for the role beforehand as the beginning few days of the internship were spent mostly on familiarising myself with the technology and the coding requirements.

Advice

Don't be afraid to learn new things and ask questions, even in a work setting. In my experience the colleagues are always happy to help you if you show initiative and an actual interest in finding the answers!
